The Greenfield Health Department and the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin are partnering to offer a sensory friendly vaccine clinic for individuals five and older and their families with the goal of providing a positive, supportive, and calm vaccine experience. Prior to the vaccination appointment, a social narrative will be available to help prepare participants for vaccination. Participants can expect a lower sensory environment, sensory fidgets, distraction strategies, and other individualized accommodations as needed. The clinic will offer Pfizer vaccines to eligible community members. There is no cost to you for the vaccine. If you have insurance, an administrative fee will be billed to your insurance. Please bring your insurance card with you. Initial doses will be offered on April 7. Second doses will be offered on May 5. Mask wearing is encouraged. Register today at City of Greenfield Health Department (timetap.com). The deadline to sign up for a vaccine appointment is March 29, 2022.
