Dylan’s Run

Thousands of people turned out in support of autism awareness this morning at Indian Summer for the 16th annual Dylan’s Run, a 2-mile run/walk and family event named in honor of 19-year-old Milwaukeean Dylan Schwartz, who was diagnosed with autism at age two.

Dylan’s Run is the largest annual fundraiser for the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin (ASSEW).  Dylan’s family is American Indian from the White Earth band of Chippewa located in northern Minnesota.  He has benefited greatly from the many programs offered by the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin.

The ASSEW’s goal was to raise $125,000 at today’s event, and this goal was almost achieved!  For more information about Dylan, Dylan’s Run and the ASSEW, to donate to help us reach our goal, please visit www.dylansrun.com or www.ASSEW.org.
