Autism Insights & Strategies For Educators
This workshop has practical application to anyone who works with or support students with special education needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Educators, administrators, and all school staff are welcome and encouraged to join us. We will provide a high level introduction and overview of Autism. Case studies, stories and solutions for students with Autism and other special education needs will be shared from a professional, offering real world application from over 30 years of experience.

New to Autism Virtual Presentation
Parents/Caregivers may opt to view the presentation at the ASSEW offices.
This presentation is open to the public and designed for parents whose children have recently been diagnosed with Autism and will be led by one of the Autism Society Southeastern WI staff. The session will cover:
• Basic characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
• How families integrate their feelings about having a child with a disability.
• How to get started on a path to helping your family support your child.
• Q & A.

Join us for a free online viewing and discussion of the award-winning film, Being Michelle, in partnership with the Autism Society-Wisconsin Affiliates and the Children’s Resource Center – South with funding from the Friends of the Waisman Center. BEING MICHELLE is an award-winning feature-length documentary film about a deaf woman with Autism who survived incarceration and abuse and now uses her artwork to depict the trauma she survived and heal from her past.
