Autism is a journey. You are not alone.

Dylan’s Run/Walk For Autism

We had an amazing turnout of over 2500 participants in 2011!

Join us on September 9th, 2012!

Dylan’s 2-Mile Run/Walk has been a highlight in the community since 2001. Thousand of walkers, runners, and volunteers participate to promote autism awareness, raise funds for research, fund scholarships for teachers, and support the mission of the Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin. The lakefront walk is always exhilarating and tons of fun for runners and walkers, individuals, families, and teams! We have entertainment, music, and excitement! Runners and walkers at our event are by cheered on by the UW-Milwaukee Women’s Basketballteam as they set out on the course that winds through the Summerfest grounds, along the beautiful lakefront, past the Art Museum and Discovery World Museum.

We’re thrilled that Indian Summer Festival hosts our event on the Summerfest grounds, and all participants are invited to stay for the festival – free admission!

Who is Dylan?

Dylan lives, plays, and goes to school in the Milwaukee area with his family. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of two. His family is American Indian from the White Earth band of Chippewa. Like other boys, Dylan enjoys many activities, including swimming and hiking. Along with many area children, he has made a lot of progress with the support of the Autism Society.

We strive to help Dylan and all individuals with autism have access to opportunities for the best possible life.
