Susan Stokes Make and Take workshop June 18-19

The Autism Society is proud to host a two day workshop at Greendale High school June 18-19, 2009 from 8am to 4pm featuring Susan Stokes, M.A., CCC-SLP.
The title is Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorders for Effective Educational Programming: Practical Strategies for Instruction and Behavior Management. The cost is $150, or $135 for members. One graduate credit is available as an option for an additional $200.
DAY ONE: Reframe your thinking about challenging behaviors by understanding them as features of your students’ neurobiological disability. Learn numerous practical strategies for immediate use in class.
DAY TWO: Use what you learned to create individualized visual supports to take with you back to class. Bring a flash drive. Computers with Boardmaker software, printers, and laminators will be on site.
